This event focuses on the assisting in the cure of diabetes now, where patrons’ and sponsors’ donations and events benefit the important cure-focused research at the Diabetes Research Institute.

More than 450 guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening beginning at Miami's quintessential nightspot, LIV Nightclub Miami at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The remainder of the evening was spent at the exquisite Sparkle Ballroom completed with fabulous food, spectacular decor, and music.

The focus of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation is to provide the Diabetes Research Institute with the funding necessary to cure diabetes right now. The Diabetes Research Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine leads the world in cure-focused research.

2016 Honorees include: Humanitarian Honoree Francine Lowe, Honorary Chairman Barbara Shapiro, Love Honorees Barbara and Donald Kaufman, and Hope Honoree Dalia Glottmann.
